The project is being implemented in 300 districts across 19 states through a network of 8 Sub-recipient partners, over 1000 local NGOs/CBOs and over 15000 community volunteers (called Axshya Mitras which means – Friends of Axshya). In each district there is a dedicated Axshya coordinator who coordinates all the project activities through the local partners. He/She is also responsible for coordination with the local TB programme, public health staff and other stakeholders.
